Technical & Geometry

How accurate is the generated gear geometry?

For cylindrical gears (Spur and Helical), we use exact involute and trochoid geometry algorithms. This ensures mathematically perfect tooth flanks and root fillets.

For Bevel Gears, our engine utilizes an algorithm based on the Tredgold Approximation. This method maps the bevel gear tooth onto a virtual cylindrical gear, providing high mechanical accuracy.

Does the generator account for 3D printing tolerances?

Yes. You can manually adjust the Normal Backlash parameter. We recommend 0.1 mm to 0.2 mm for most FDM printers.

Files & Compatibility

Which file formats are provided?

Depending on your selection, we provide high-fidelity STEP AP214 (.step) files for professional CAD work (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc.) and STL (.stl) files optimized for 3D printing and rapid prototyping.

Are the gears compatible with my CAD software?

Absolutely. Our STEP files are exported using industry-standard protocols, ensuring seamless import into all major CAD platforms including Autodesk Fusion 360, Inventor, SolidWorks, Catia, and Rhino.

Licensing & Usage

Can I use the generated gears for commercial projects?

Yes. Every purchased gear configuration includes a perpetual commercial license. You are free to use the generated parts in your own machines, products, or prototypes, whether they are for personal or commercial use. However, reselling the raw digital CAD files is prohibited.

Do you offer free samples?

Yes! We believe in the quality of our engine. You can download a selection of pre-configured free samples in the "Free Samples" section to test the compatibility and print quality before making a purchase.

Order & Support

How do I receive my files after purchase?

Immediately after the checkout via Lemon Squeezy, you will be redirected to the download page and also receive a secure download link. This link is valid for 7 days. If you need to re-download your files after this period, please contact our support.

Why is the generator running locally in my browser?

Our tool uses WebAssembly (WASM) technology. This allows the heavy geometry calculations to happen directly on your hardware. This ensures maximum privacy (your parameters never leave your computer) and lightning-fast performance without server-side lag.
